Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) – Shanghai Ranking Consultancy

The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) focuses primarily on the scientific and research performance of individual universities. As ARWU indicators are based on absolute values, they tend to penalize universities with fewer students and employees.

Masaryk University has not yet appeared in the primary ARWU ranking.

For the first time in 2017, the institutions ranked between 501 and 800 are published as ARWU World Top 500 Candidates. They demonstrate their potential of breaking into the Top 500 list in the near future. Masaryk University is ranked among these candidates (#601–700).
